Alex Teixeira will cost €70m - Shakhtar Donetsk tell Liverpool

Teixeira revealed earlier this week that the Ukrainian club had turned down an offer from Liverpool and that he was keen on joining Jurgen Klopp’s team.
Shakhtar general director Sergiy Palkin has revealed details of the Liverpool offer which has been rejected, insisting the club want the forward’s release clause to be paid in full.
“Liverpool stopped after an offer of stopped at €32m and a €4m bonus,” Palkin told TV programme Football 1. “This is the last number that was announced. Our position is that we do not want to sell Teixeira today.
“We will sell him only at the end of the season. We need to have some good results in the Europa League and the Ukraine championship. At the end of the season we will sit down at the negotiating table.

Palkin also said that Liverpool boss Klopp was angling for a personal sit-down with Teixeira as he hopes to improve the attacking options available to him at Anfield.
“I am sure that without the agreement of Klopp there would not be a discussion with Liverpool. He wants to have a personal meeting with Teixeira in Liverpool,” he said.
