Check Out Chrissy Teigen's 15-Minute Recipe Will Satisfy All of Your Pregnancy Cravings

Chrissy Teigen's 15-Minute Recipe Will Satisfy All of Your Pregnancy Cravings
It's no secret that Chrissy Teigen loves to eat. One scroll through the model's Instagram feed—an overt display of lasagna, cheeseburgers, and epicly sized burritos—is enough to prompt you to order the fattiest, carb-loaded thing you could possibly find on Seamless. Now, she's proving to her 5.2 million-plus followers that she does, in fact, eat all of it, and she can make it too, thanks to the arrival of her eagerly anticipated cookbook, Cravings ($19; amazon.com).

The 240-page tome was serendipitously penned while Teigen was pregnant and experiencing her own whirlwind of culinary desires. "[I'm craving] everything," she recently told InStyle at an event to sample the featured recipes in N.Y.C. "Mostly milk and red meat together." Below, one of her go-to dishes (lovingly referred to as "single-bite delights"), which combines pepper-crusted steak with blue cheese butter and crushed-up potato sticks. Whether or not you've got a bun in the oven, you're going to want to try this dish.

Steak Bites with Melty Blue Cheese Butter

Steak Bites with Melty Blue Cheese Butter
Makes: 12 pieces
Serves: 4 to 6
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
2 oz soft, creamy-style blue cheese, at room temperature
1 tbsp butter, slightly softened
1⁄2 pound New York strip steak (see note), trimmed of excess fat
1⁄2 tsp kosher salt
3 tbsp roughly cracked black pepper
2 tbsp canola oil
1⁄2 cup crushed potato sticks (the kind you get at 7-Eleven or the corner store, nothing fancy!)

Cravings

Directions
1. In a small bowl, mash the blue cheese and butter with a fork until smooth.

2. Pat the meat dry with paper towels and cut into twelve 1-inch cubes. Season it all over with the salt. Place the cracked pepper in a shallow dish and press the steak cubes into the pepper on all sides to form a pepper crust.

3. In a medium cast-iron or heavy skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. When shimmering-hot, add the steak cubes and cook on all sides until medium-rare, about 30 seconds per side. Remove the steak from the skillet by stabbing each cube with a wooden, metal, or bamboo skewer. Squash about 1 teaspoon of the blue cheese butter on top of the meat (it will begin to melt down the sides if you play your cards right), then press a few potato sticks into the cheese.
