The political stalwart said he was not ready to work with the former governor.
Specifically, Akinfenwa, who was a
former national chairman of the AD, said he would not be railroaded into
supporting Tinubu, whom he said was scheming to get the support of the
Yoruba.
Akinfenwa, who fell out with Tinubu over
the leadership of the AD more than a decade ago, said Tinubu was the
architect of his own misfortune.
He said, “(Every) man is the architect
of his own fortune and misfortune. In this case, Tinubu is the architect
of his own misfortune. So, he should not bring me into the matter I was
never part of with him.
“He knows it will be difficult, if not
impossible to woo or induce me as he is gradually succeeding with those
he has despised and succeeded in wounding.”
