Akeredolu, the governor-Elect of Ondo State, has said that it will take
hardwork to surpass the track record of the state governor, Dr. Olusegun
Mimiko.The governor elect was speaking during a
courtesy call on governor Mimiko in Akure.
Chief Akeredolu said he and the people
the state owe the governor depth of gratitude for his service to Ondo
State and the country at large.
The governor elect maintained that governor Mimiko displayed exemplary leadership quality in various capacities he had served.
He noted that history is being made in the state with the seamless transition between his team and that of government.
Governor Oluesegun Mimiko promised to put in place seamless transition to usher in a new government in February next year.
He noted that in the history of the state, this was the first time to have a seamless transition between civilian governments.
He assured the governor-elect of his support to ensure he succeeds in the task of governing the state.
Dr. Mimiko who noted that peace was one of his greatest accomplishments enjoyed the governor elect to sustain the feat.
Come February 24, 2017, Chief Akeredolu will be the 6th civilian governor of Ondo State.
King Sunny Ade’s prized Fender guitar has been auctioned for a whopping N52.1 million early Monday morning.
The guitar, donated to KSA by Fender Musical Instruments Corporation and designed by Nigerian Victor Ehi, was bought by one of the top Nigerians present at the special 70th birthday concert, tagged ‘Sunny On Sunday’ held at the Marquee of Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The auction was conducted by Dr. Jogun Onabanjo, Chairman, Certified Institute of Auctioneers, Lagos State Branch.
Recently, KSA donated another of his prized guitar to the Hard Rock Cafe Music Memorabilia Collection and personally handed it over to Sanjay Mahtani, CEO JSM, Hard Rock Group.
At the special concert, organised by Temple Management Company, were some top politicos, captains of industry and industrialists including Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Tunde Folawiyo, Dewunmi Ogunsanya, Oba Saheed Elegushi, Oba Lateef Adams, General Kollington Ayinla, Onyeka Onwenu, Shina Peters, Aremo Segun Oniru and Ladi Adebutu
