See the Newest Member of the Celeb Bob Club - Olivia Munn

Olivia Munn Is the Newest Member of the Celeb Bob Club
Preparing for a big event means a glass of wine or two while you do your hair and makeup, or you can one-up everyone else like Olivia Munn with a dramatic new haircut. Before hitting the red carpet
for the premiere of her film Office Christmas Party, the 36-year-old actress enlisted her go-to hairstylist Christian Wood to chop 12 inches off of her hair (a whole foot!) bringing the star’s length into bob territory.
“We’ve talked about cutting her hair for quite some time now, but tonight we finally did it! In the end, it was about 12 inches off,” Wood said. “To compliment this new look, we wanted a style that was cool and effortless. Her hair is quite straight naturally so we went a bit choppier with the cut and created an overall undone look.”

Mission accomplished. To create Munn’s tousled texture, Wood ran Matrix Style Link Blowout Curvy Queen ($20; matrix.com) throughout the actress’ damp hair, flipped her head over and rough dried it for extra volume and to give ends a piecey look. “It’s great for those with naturally straight hair like Olivia’s as it helps create waves,” the pro said of the cream.

Once Munn’s hair was completely dry, Wood used a medium curling iron to create loose, undone waves, taking small pieces while leaving out the ends and alternating the direction of each wave for a less uniformed, beachy look. After letting the waves cool for five minutes, the pro flipped the star’s hair upside down again and shook out the waves. For extra texture, he spritzed Matrix Style Link Mineral Booster ($20; matrix.com) to the root area, and sprayed Matrix Style Link Texture Builder Messy Finish Spray ($18; matrix.com) randomly from mid-lengths to the ends to hold the waves. Wood finished look by sweeping some of Munn’s hair to the side to create a deep side part, and lightly misted Matrix Biolage R.A.W. Replenish Oil Mist ($24; matrix.com) for allover shine.
