Senator Ayo Arise reportedly Kidnapped

 

Ayo Arise, a former senator representing Ekiti North senatorial district, was on his way to Abuja when he was kidnapped by gunmen, Guardian reports.

Lere Olayinka, the special adviser on Public Communications and New Media to Ekiti State Government revealed the news on his Facebook.

He had reportedly attended some events in Ado Ekiti over the weekend, and was traveling to Abuja on Sunday when he as abducted.
According to Punch, his kidnappers have requested for a ransom of N80 million.
