
Fayose who described President Buhari’s
government as an undemocratic one, told residents of the state that the Buhari led administration has done nothing for
the people of Ekiti ever since his
assumption of office as president.
As all attention is now on Ekiti State as they
prepare for the State’s Gubernatorial election, Governor Ayodele Fayose who
spoke at Ado-Ekiti the state capital, stated that he will not welcome President
Muhammadu Buhari
in Ekiti state on the slated day he will be visiting the date.
Fayose who described President Buhari’s
government as an undemocratic one, told residents of the state that the Buhari
led administration has done nothing for the people of Ekiti ever since his
assumption of office as president. He also added that Nigeria does not deserve
an old President like Buhari,
but someone of the new generation stock.
“I am not going to receive the president. If they
think that they can use the police to intimidate us, it is a lie.“This government is undemocratic, why did they
close Akure Airport yesterday, when they knew that we would be receiving our
party members.
“They have been arresting members of the PDP,
but we will not be provoked. We will disgrace all of them on June 14.
“If you vote for the APC,
you are voting for Boko Haram and Fulani Herdsmen. But PDP believes in the
sanctity of human lives” he said.
This isn’t the only time Governor
Fayose has taken a swipe at President Buhari. Recall that after President
Buhari announced that he will contesting in the 2019 Presidential election, the
Ekiti Governor countered it by saying it was dead on arrival.
The governor stated that if Buhari is re-elected,
he would kill the country. He called on Nigerians to show Buhari the exit door
in 2019 by voting him out of office.
Ekiti
